SibMed became an official co-organizer of the XXI International Congress of Pediatricians “Topical Issues in Pediatrics”

A team from SibMed consisting of Olga Fedorova, Head of the Pediatric Division, Natalia Kirillova, Associate Professor of the Division of General Medical Practice and Outpatient Care, Julia Samoylova, Head of the Center for Clinical Trials, and Denis Tyufilin, manager of the Center for Project Management, successfully held School for Young Scientists, which gathered students, residents, post-graduate students and young scientists from different regions of Russia. 

Oksana Oleynik, Associate Professor of the Endocrinology and Diabetology Division, and Denis Tyufilin presented reports at the symposium “Smart City and Public Health: New Challenges  for Pediatrics”. Olga Fedorova gave a lecture “Opisthorchiasis in the XXI century: from trials to modern control methods”.

The agenda of the Congress included the Contest for Young Scientists, in which two projects of young scientists from SibMed took part. The winner of the Contest was the work “Taxonomic diversity of gut microbiota and its clinical value against the background of Opisthorchis felineus invasion in children” (presenting author – Tatiana Sokolova, post-graduate student of the Pediatric Division, co-authors – Vyacheslav Petrov, junior researcher of the Center for Biological Studies and Bioengineering and Julia Dorofeeva, assistant of the Biology and Genetics Division).
