Modern Technologies and Medicine of the Future: SibMed and Leiden University Organize Winter School

The International Winter School, organized by the Siberian State Medical University and the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), will be held online on December 10-12. Among the invited speakers’ representatives of Moscow State University, Leiden University, University of Ottawa, Tomsk State University and National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology.

The major theme of the winter school is "Omics" technologies. These are regarded as the foundation of personalized medicine of the future, technologies based on the achievements in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics.

The event program supposes not only online lectures, but also numerous interactive activities, as well as live communication with experts and speakers. The list of lecture themes: "Proteomics from a Tool to a Science", "Metabolomics Goes to Clinic", "Express Diagnostics by the Molecular Profile of Tissues and Biological Fluids by Mass Spectrometry", "Cancer Diagnostics and Therapy with Aptamer Nanotechnology "," From Epidemiology to Molecular Epidemiology "," Metabolic Homeostasis in Chronic Helminth Infection is Sustained by Organ-Specific Metabolic Rewiring "and" Glycomics-based Discovery of Novel and Specific Markers of Infection and Inflammation. "

The school will be held in a mixed-mode in both English and Russian languages. That is why everyone is invited to participate - both Russian-speaking and international students.

This international educational initiative is supported by the ERASMUS + Key Action-1 Grant, jointly received by the Siberian State Medical University and the Leiden University Medical Center.
