More than two hundred SibMed residents and students help doctors to fight COVID-19

258 SibMed residents and students along with students of Tomsk medical colleges are involved in providing medical care to patients with coronavirus. Young people work in hospitals and clinics as doctors and nurses.

"Students engage in the work according to their qualifications. They threat patients, prescribe treatment and carry out procedures under the supervision of more experienced medical workers. It is helpful for medical organizations of the Tomsk region when the incidence rate is growing. For students this opportunity to work on the frontline is an excellent practice and a chance to make sure that they have chosen the right profession," said Sergei Dmitriev, Head of the Health Department of the Tomsk region.

155 SibMed students work at the Center for Remote Patient Monitoring and answer hotline calls.
