SibMed joined the Federation of Russian and Arab Universities

Siberian State Medical University joined the Federation of Russian and Arab Universities. The Federation currently includes 70 leading universities in Russia and the Arab world. 

"We joined the international federation, whose members are prestigious Arab universities holding high positions in international rankings. It is an excellent chance to build new partnerships. Moreover, it positively influences the SibMed image in the international academic arena.

It is a path to development and new research directions. SibMed can study and implement the best educational practices of its partners," said Ekaterina Pleshkova, Head of the Center for International Development and Partnership.

Universities of Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Somalia and Palestine are SibMed partners in the Federation. Membership in the Federation will allow Siberian State Medical University to form and strengthen partnerships in the field of international education and recruitment. SibMed scientists will have a unique opportunity to participate in academic mobility programs, conferences and forums organized by the Federation.

The memorandum on the establishment of the Federation of Russian and Arab Universities was signed on May 16, 2017, as part of the meeting between the President of the Russian Union of Rectors, Academician V. A. Sadovnichy, and the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Professor Sultan Abuorabi.
