SibMed will change curriculum for medical cyberneticists by introducing modules from Yandex Education experts

Yandex Education has developed unified programs for future frontend and backend developers. SibMed will be among the first 19 universities across Russia to test one of the programs. The modules will be integrated into SibMed courses to strengthen them with applied disciplines and cases.
Medical education is very conservative, and its transformation is slower compared to classical higher education. That is why the key advantage for SibMed is the ability to integrate modules of the country's largest bigtech company into current academic programs. For the first time, we will implement this strategy at the Biomedicine Department

These new Yandex Education programs are the first example where educational content from an IT company is simultaneously integrated into almost two dozen universities across the country. SibMed became the first among medical universities to train IT specialists at the Biomedicine Department and will be able to introduce universal modules from Yandex experts into the academic program. Second- and third-year students of SibMed will study Python and JavaScript, Django backend, API services, object-oriented programming. They will also get acquainted with server management and other topics that will allow them to acquire essential IT skills. The programs include projects and workshops. The final projects of the students will be evaluated by both teachers and experts from Yandex.
For the first time, Yandex is launching academic programs at 19 universities in 12 regions at once. By expanding the number of partner universities, we are making high-quality IT education available to students from all over the country.
