SibMed students became winners of III International Online Biology Olympiad

Three first-year students from Siberian State Medical University earned top prizes in an online biology olympiad. They competed against 730 participants from 109 universities across 25 countries. The Olympiad was organized by Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

During the Olympiad, participants solved situational tasks and tests from various fields of biology, including cytology, anatomy, botany, zoology, biochemistry, physiology and genetics. The competition lasted for 150 minutes. The jury consisted of teachers from universities in Turkmenistan and Russia. 

Aisha Kozhenova, a first-year student from the SibMed Pediatrics Department, was awarded a II Degree Diploma. First-year student of the Pediatrics Department Evgeny Rafalovich and first-year student of the General Medicine Department Artem Klishin received III Degree Diplomas. 

The participants of the Olympiad came from a wide range of countries, including Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, India and others.

The Olympiad is aimed at developing cooperation between universities, identifying talented students, attracting young people to study natural sciences and solve theoretical problems with the help of modern technologies. It also plays a significant role in career guidance and fosters a positive environment for students' intellectual growth.
