SibMed students completed an internship at Sirius University

The students of Siberian State Medical University successfully completed their internship at Sirius University. 5th year students of the Biomedicine Department Ekaterina Livanos and Elisaveta Tsarenkova and 1st year postgraduate student of the Intermediate-Level Pediatrics Division with a Pediatric Diseases Course of the General Medicine Department Anastasiia Melenteva mastered the module "Practical aspects of immunology".
As part of the program, students studied various advanced technologies based on knowledge about the structure and work of the immune system. They also learned about various platforms for the creation of modern vaccines and their use in the Russian healthcare system.
The course participants discussed monoclonal antibodies, hybridoma technology, phage display technologies and antibody engineering.
This is not the first internship for SibMed students at Sirius University. Earlier young scientists underwent training in the field of neurobiology and pharmacy. The knowledge gained in the modules of Sirius University will help SibMed students in their current and future research projects.
