SibMed has launched tandem Language Exchange meetings for Russian-speaking students and international students from India, Egypt, Yemen, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

These meetings are held weekly and follow the principle of tandem work, where students take turns speaking in Russian and English for 30 minutes on given topics using special worksheets. These worksheets include a list of discussion questions, useful vocabulary, and short practical activities.

The purpose of these meetings is not only to improve language skills in a fun-filled, relaxed environment, but also to foster cross-cultural communication and connections within the university.

The meetings are led by Arina Chukavina, the Expert of the Department for International Development, and Daria Kokorina, the Vice-Dean of the General Medicine Department, both of whom are also assistants at the Foreign Languages Division.
