More than 100 school students from Russia and Kazakhstan took part in the SibMed career guidance event "MedClass-2023"

SibMed held the closing ceremony of the career guidance event "MedClass-2023" and awarded winners of the "Medskills" competition. The best participants of the free educational project "MedClass" underwent a 3-day training in five tracks: "Doctor", "Medicines", "Laboratory", "Leadership" and "IT medicine". 

SibMed was visited by students from the Tomsk, Irkutsk and Kemerovo Regions, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Altai Republic, Tyva and Kazakhstan. A separate program of educational activities was developed for each track. 

In three days, the participants mastered skills of pre-medical care, discussed the basics of emergency psychological care and effective communication in the medical field, studied carbohydrate digestion, got acquainted with 3D modeling programs, visited SibMed museums and Simulation Center, learned about the structure of teeth and dental instruments.

SIbMed also held the competition of pre-professional skills called "Medskills". The students had to demonstrate theoretical knowledge and solve a practical case. The participants' skills were evaluated by the jury which consisted of SibMed staff members. At the closing ceremony, SibMed Rector Evgeny Kulikov met with the students.

The educational project "MedClass" was created as part of the development program "Priority 2030". The MedClass educational platform allows future applicants to study for free both on their own and together with classmates. The project has been designed for schoolchildren interested in medicine and areas related to healthcare.
