SibMed team became first at All-Russian competition devoted to first aid and psychological support in extreme situations "ACTIO!"

Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University held the competition devoted to first aid and psychological support in extreme situations. SibMed team demonstrated excellent skills became first. 

Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University hosted the final of the All-Russian competition "ACTIO!". The competition consisted of two parts. SibMed was represented by three teams — "Stay in a life", "Psychelper" and "Psyche". The teams included students of the Institute for Integrative Healthcare specializing in "Clinical Psychology". They successfully completed an online test on the basics of first aid and qualified for the final. SibMed team "Stay in a life", represented by Ailana Tarkrasheva, Anastasiia Iudina and Danila Burnashov, won the competition.

The final of the competition included three stages. At the first stage, the teams had to demonstrate skills of CPR and provide first aid for fractures, bleeding, burns and loss of consciousness. The jury of the competition noted that SibMed team "Psychelper" showed the best result. At the second stage, participants had to help people with an acute stress reaction. Students of Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute depicted conditions peculiar to people in extreme situations: trembling, aggression, psychomotor agitation, apathy, hysteria, crying, fear. At the third stage, the team members had to provide counseling via the mental health hotline. This is where SibMed students showed the best results.
