06.11.2024
Aleksandr Sakharov, a 4th-year student of the Biomedicine Department, successfully presented his project "_biomediconstructor+" to prospective buyers and partners at business meetings in Azerbaijan.
The _biomediconstructor+ project is an innovative system that models anatomical structures of humans and animals. It is tailored for surgeon and robot training. The project makes it possible to create 3D models of body parts based on medical imaging data. The resulting body part can serve as a tool for developing and refining surgical and manual skills and for training, validation, and quality assessment of neural network algorithms in surgical robots.
During the three-day business mission, Aleksandr Sakharov attended six meetings with prospective business partners. The cooperation was discussed with such organizations as VİTTA, Viva Medical Group, Sechenov University, Leyla Medical Center, UPC Universal, International SOS Azerbaijan.
We held six meetings with prospective partners and clients. Each meeting was productive. We discussed the key points of cooperation, shared ideas and outlined plans for joint projects. I was impressed by the eagerness of our Azerbaijani colleagues to collaborate. I believe that collaboration with Azerbaijani companies will lead to shared success and pave the way for new opportunities
— told Aleksandr Sakharov,
head of the project.
Attendees of the events acknowledged the uniqueness and practical significance of the project. Possible supply options were discussed with several companies, with one already recommending improvements through the use of electronic sensors. Aleksandr Sakharov's project garnered attention from potential partners and buyers, with several preliminary agreements already secured for its implementation.
